Boss Performance is a project about absence, changing political infrastructure and aspiration. I wanted to relay the sadness I have associated with the changes going on in my childhood area, as well as the beauty and tenderness of a place that has held me down forever. Surveillance and encroaching building work make existence in these areas feel powerless at times and has resulted in the mental decline of many people close to me as well as myself, I wanted to capture the moments that offer a drive towards excitement - drive being an important word, because a car is protective armour in the winter night time.
